imoo
Founded in 2010 by Jin Zhijiang under BBK Electronics — the Guangdong-based conglomerate that also owns OPPO and Vivo — imoo emerged as the dominant specialist in the children’s smartwatch segment. The brand’s proposition is both simple and specific: a wearable communication and safety device for children aged four to fifteen that replicates the connectivity of a smartphone without its attendant risks. No open internet access, no social media, no unknown contacts. In China, imoo has commanded over 20 per cent of the national smartwatch market; globally, it has established a presence across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

20%+ China Market Share
imoo commands over a fifth of the national smartwatch market in China, with a growing presence across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Ages 4–15
The device is built for children aged four to fifteen, with a constrained interface and managed communications.
IPX8 Water Resistant
Every model is rated to IPX8 water resistance, suitable for swimming, and tested across more than 160 reliability protocols.
Origin
Built for parents. Worn by children. imoo was conceived as a direct response to a parenting dilemma: children needed to be reachable, but smartphones introduced risks parents were not prepared to accept at primary school age. imoo’s founding argument was that the watch form factor, with a constrained interface and managed communications, was the correct solution. Operating under BBK Electronics, imoo had access to the manufacturing scale and component supply chains that define the group’s output across OPPO and Vivo handsets.
Design Philosophy
Safety without compromise. The flagship imoo X10 features a split dual HD camera system, five-system GPS positioning, and a 14-day route history via the imoo Companion App. The parental control layer is the product’s distinguishing architecture: Stranger Rejection blocks unrecognised contacts, Class Mode disables communication during school hours, and the SOS function connects the child directly to a pre-approved emergency contact.
The Collection
Flagship to entry. One mission. The imoo line spans the X10 flagship, the Z7 premium mainstream model, and the accessible Z-series for younger children. Each model is rated to IPX8 water resistance and has undergone more than 160 reliability test protocols. imoo distributes through its official global storefront, regional retail partners, and selected electronics channels.
