Agelocer

Registered in 2013 and headquartered in Guangzhou, Agelocer occupies the emerging tier of Chinese independent watchmaking defined not by horological heritage but by visual ambition. The brand’s vocabulary is consistent: open-worked dials, skeletonised layouts, tourbillon and moonphase complications positioned as centrepieces rather than footnotes. The slogan “Always Surprise” captures the design brief accurately — each watch is conceived as a mechanical spectacle, accessible in price but expressive in character. Agelocer addresses an audience that wants to see how a watch works, and has built a catalogue around that premise.

Open Architecture

Skeletonised dials and sapphire-encased tourbillons put the mechanism itself on permanent display, rather than behind a closed caseback.

Cal. A4610 Movement Platform

The brand’s automatic movement platform is complemented by proprietary calibres developed for specific complications.

Ten Collections, One Argument

The catalogue spans the Tourbillon Series, Astronomer, Budapest, Schwarzwald and Baikal — each a distinct take on the same visible-mechanics premise.

Origin

A new generation of Chinese watchmaking. Agelocer was founded with an explicit brief: to produce original-design mechanical watches that refuse to hide their mechanisms. Where much of the industry has defaulted to closed casebacks and discreet movements, Agelocer built its identity on exposure — sapphire-encased tourbillons, cut-out dials, architectures designed to show motion. The brand draws its design talent from international collaborators, with production centred in Guangzhou.

Design Philosophy

Mechanical spectacle as design language. The consistent element across Agelocer’s output is the deliberate emphasis on visible complication — tourbillons floating against open dials, moonphase displays in generous apertures, fully sapphire-encased cases that render the watch as a transparent mechanical object. The movement platform centres on the Cal. A4610 automatic, complemented by proprietary calibres developed for specific complications.

The Collection

Ten lines. One consistent argument. The Tourbillon Series is the flagship — full-transparency builds placing the flying tourbillon in unobstructed view. Schwarzwald introduces ceramic bezels and double skeleton layouts; Budapest features power reserve displays and gradient dials. Agelocer distributes primarily via direct digital channels, with an accessible price-to-complication ratio as its core commercial proposition.

Agelocer has made visible mechanical complexity accessible — distinctive, expressive pieces that deliver mechanical drama at a price point few can match. — Editorial, Maison Indépendante
